Thomas Alva Edison

Known as one of the greatest inventors in the world, Thomas Edison has made a far reaching impact on the way modern people live.  In his 84 years of life, Edison made over 1,000 patents and invented machines and tools that would shape the world we live in today.  To this day, no one has managed to top Edison's record in number of successful patents.  From humble beginnings as the son of a school teacher,  Edison became the legend his is today through hard work and dedication to innovation.  Edison famously said, "
